Success in small scale business: An experience
Experience like they say is the best teacher and when you have learnt from it then you become skilled in that particular field. When you are successful in learning from a particular experience, you can also tell others about such experience; you can be called a teacher in that field of experience. The above analogy gives me the authority to share my successful experience as the owner of a small business. It was not as big as a Car leasing business but I was able to achieve a major aim of a business which is profit. I understand that the word success is relative but for this particular business the level of success achieved could not have been better anywhere else.
I was the owner of a small fashion business and I will say an important factor in my successful stint was the fact that I was stingy to myself. That was a decision I took when I set out into the fashion world. I was into retail and made sure that I did not spend any money I made from the business on anything else for the first six months. All profit made during that period were put back into the business. For a very young man, this is not easy and what people require to do this is discipline. You need to be disciplined because temptation will come and you will feel like spending your money once in a while. Once you can overcome the temptation to spend your profits for the first six months then I can tell you that you are on the right path. I also employed two people just ten months into business. You can achieve even more if you try.
