Tips To Stay In Action In Your Business

Tips To Stay In Action In Your Business

Business success happens when there is consistent action taking on a daily basis. Some people start up a business and plunge right in working their tails off, and not stopping until they have hit their first million. Others, on the other hand, start up their business and do nothing either because they are unsure of what to do or because they have a fear of actually getting started. This will not build a business. Consistent action is key to the growth of any business. Below are some tips that will help you stay in action on a regular basis.

The first thing you must do is get coaching or training if you are stuck. If you are not sure how to get into action or are too scared to get into action, a coach can help you through this obstacle. Do not be afraid to reach out and grab a mentor when needed.

The same goes for the people you hang around with. Surround yourself with uplifting people who are positive. Surround yourself with people who are successful. Negative people or lazy people will only bring you down. If you are banging heads with people who have seen success, guess what you are going to see?

Leave your excuses at the door. Excuses are no more than a well thought out lie. Stop making them and get yourself into action. This goes for constantly talking about what you plan on doing with your business. Stop talking and begin already.

Create some realistic short and long term goals. Take little action steps to achieve your short term goals. It is through these little steps that you will eventually achieve your long term goals. Work everyday on one little thing that will help bring you closer to your goals. Also, be sure to review your goals often to help keep you focused.

Speaking of staying focused, do not let little distractions get in the way of your action plan. Sure, distractions happen, especially if you are working around children, but they do not have to stop you from working your business. Set aside some time when you will not be distracted and do your work then. This can be very early in the morning or late at night. Also, do not let “other” distractions such as Internet surfing, TV watching or chatting on the phone keep you from staying in action. Sometimes, you have to discipline yourself to stay active.

Your business growth depends on the regular actions you take each day. If you want to take off a day or two, that is fine and is encouraged. It is when you let these days happen more often that can have a negative impact on your business.

Just before I go I want to ask you all for a bit of help, my cousin has recently started an online paper and stationary business and was really searching for ways to keep in touch with her client base Since she redesigned her site, her mailing list has gotten to an unmanagebale point and she has been looking into email marketing, does anyone know a good company who do this for online businesses for a good price?

Flyer Marketing – How To Make It Work For Your Business

Flyers have long been used as a form of advertising for businesses. In fact, before the Internet became so popular, flyer marketing was one of the leading ways to build a customer base. Today, you can still benefit from flyer marketing with a little creative thinking.

Keep your flyers short and to the point. People want something that gets the point across fast. They do not want to read a long sales page. Also, keep it to one page. A flyer is just that – a flyer not a book. Anything over one page will most likely be tossed in the trash. Also, increase the size of your font which will catch their eye.

Add call to action words such as “want to know” or “call right now” and “call for details”. This motivates and gives the prospects clear instructions and does not leave them guessing.

Instead of promoting your business directly on your flyer, you might benefit more from promoting a “grand opening” or “upcoming event” type flyer. Also, flyers that mention specific sales, incentives and other offers work well too. If you go with incentives, add a little urgency in it by setting a specific date that they need to come in by.

Always have a stack of flyers with you when you are out doing errands. This way you can hand them out to people that you are talking with or ask businesses if you can leave a pile on their counter tops or post one up on a bulletin board. Never stuff people’s mailboxes with your flyers. This is actually illegal and can get you into trouble. This goes for placing your flyers on cars as well. Do not do it.

Flyer marketing can be very effective, but you have to keep consistent with it. You cannot drop off a pile of flyers in one location and expect results. You have to be out there placing flyers (with permission) everywhere you can. Each week, print out a new batch and replace your areas with a new batch. After awhile you will begin to see a passive flow of traffic coming to your business.

Work related things before I go, just did a bit of photoshop work for this great DVD packaging firm. Give it a look and tell me what you think!

Did you Optimise Your Landing Page?

Did you Optimise Your Landing Page?

Right marketing strategies has always been very important. But, what has become essential is how to optimize online marketing strategies for greater business prospects. For example on an affiliate marketing site it is the landing page that becomes crucial in getting business. When a customer arrives on the landing page, the probability of conversion of the prospective lead into business is in part dependent on the optimization of the landing page.

So, when you design the landing page there are some points that should be well taken care of for long-term benefit in online sales and marketing. Here are some guiding tips for a well optimized landing page

Page design and layout: The landing page should be simple in design without much overloading of text and images. It should consist of direct messages and uncluttered images. Discount options and mode of payment should be clearly visible. Links should be there for a detailed description of the product. Again, if the product has various size and colors, it should be mentioned using few words without much distraction.

Few clicks to get to the conversion: To convert a potential customer, the landing page should have minimum clicks required to get them to the conversion page. Inconvenience can be minimized with few clicks.

Speed of landing page: The landing page should load quickly without any problems. Most importantly it should not be slow because it becomes difficult to hold the attention span of the customer during online marketing.

Keyword-rich content: The landing page should have quality content with high density of relevant keywords to attract customers. It should also be relevant content.

Type of merchandise to be sold: Most importantly the design of the landing page greatly depends on the products that you intend to sell. For example, an online bookstore will have a different design and optimization links on the landing page than if you were selling garments.

However, a successful landing page with relevant information is very important to attract customers, because people are coming to your site because they want those products or information for future buying. It is important that the landing page should help customers make an informed decision. A well optimized landing page plays a pivotal role in making online marketing a success.

One last thing, I have recently been looking into email marketing software for this website that I have, to control all of my contact with my clients. Does anyone know any trustworthy sources that they have already tried out? It seems that there are loads of different companies doing this now, but to be honest I don’t really know what I should be looking for. If anyone has done this with their websites, it would be great to hear what you have found out.
